EISA 2007 Compliance - The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 requires, effective 1/1/09, that 175W-500W metal halide luminaires built with magnetic ballasts for use in the U.S. contain pulse-start ballasts with a minimum efficiency of 88%.  Probe-start metal halide will no longer be available in these wattages. Compliant luminaire packaging and ballasts will be labeled with.
